About our church

Hello! I’m Pastor Mike, and I have been in ministry for over 22 years and have seen the ups and downs of ministry in my own shortcomings and failures as pastor. I have also witnessed many people sitting in church that have seem to fall into the vicious cycle of just going through the motions of church. They come to church, sing songs, listen to the preacher preach and even some give their tithe. Walking out the doors of the church never applying what they have been taught from the scripture or getting actively involved in Ministry or Missions. Then they come back and do it all over again the next week.  

When God led me to Mt. Zion there was a man named Ralph Worley who for the short time I was around him made an impact on my life. He told me in one of our conversations we had that someone who he respected said these words: Ralph, Mt. Zion only has one more chance, so you better make sure it’s the right person. 

They had faced hardships along the way and just wanted another chance at keeping the doors open to a place they loved. What we had in common was I just wanted a second chance at the Ministry, and they wanted the same! It was from that conversation that the thought of “Like Never Before” came about. 

I knew they wanted to move forward for the Kingdom of God, and I wanted to Lead them and become a Church “Like Never Before” because of the second chance I was given. I did not want to let God down again, nor would I resolve to thinking about church the way many people seem to think about it. We have got to stand firm on His Word, get outside the walls of the church and make a difference and impact the lives of the people around us, “Like Never Before.” Three years later I can honestly say by the actions of the people and the blessing of God that we are moving forward together, arm in arm, side by side, “Like Never Before.”
